The Shield is an alkaline to acid pH regulator, designed to reduce the alkalinity of the hair after any colour service where needed.
The Shield is extremely effective in reducing the pH of the hair fibre, balancing porosity to prime the hair before a P.O.D service.
The Shield is instant when applied to the hair for effective pH balancing and time efficiency.
NOTE: Ensure you apply close to the hair to avoid any product going near the eyes.

A closed cuticle, normal hair strand.
The Prep, lifts the cuticle layer to prime the hair fibre for colour.
The molecular weight of The Tone dye molecule is extremely small. The size of the dye molecule, combined with the ionic water delivery allows the dye to cover the surface of the hair strand as well as get into extremely small spaces of the lifted hair cuticle layer, and deep inside the hair fibre.
The Sealer hydrates, nourishes and adds shine, whilst protecting from UV fade. This treatment successfully closes the cuticle- sealing in the colour.

As a creative colourist, I am always excited to bend the rules and explore the limits of what colour can do for me, but P.O.D is such a new way of working that the confidence that comes from the condition the hair is left in always astounds me.
